Memorial Day Weekend Business Casual

This is another great Spring and Summer look. The outfit has a formal appearance, with casual accessories. The white, silk button down is very airy and soft, and looks great with the ivory vest on top of it. The slight difference in color, allows these two items to go really well together, without looking like one single piece. The dark blue capri pants have a formal, yet relaxed feel to them, and the button tab around the calf adds a nice detail. The gold thong sandals and Ray Ban aviators make it easy to withstand the heat and still look good in this outfit.

 

Silken Chic

The silk garments of the Orient have been revered in the West for centuries. This woman wears a peach silk cheongsam style dress decorated with a wrap collar and waist. The light fabric and color of the dress make it a great pick for any formal Spring events. Her nude strap heels go well with the peach color of the dress, her angelic, unblemished, white skin and her bleach blonde hair. With these soft colors, the natural make up tones are the perfect choice. The orange flower in her hair gives a bright touch of Spring, and a warm feeling to the ensemble.

Am I Really??

“You really are the best thing I’ll never have” or so her shirt says. The lightweight white tee holds a great message, maybe the truth. It goes really well with the grey leopard print jeans that are tucked into a black pair of ankle booties. The black blazer and patent leather shoulder bag help to dress up this outfit, making it great for a shopping spree.

 

The Amazing Technicolor Dream Dress

This is an extremely fun outfit. The maxi dress has an authentic cut, but the horizontal stripes of many colors make it youthful and eye-catching. The red cardigan, worn over the dress, matches the red stripes in the hips and the bust, creating a unified look. The sunglasses, as well, have red arms with go with both garments. The nude flats with black contrast toes, while not lacking in style, do well to not take away from the power of the dress. The neon watch is a great accessory and goes with the overall fun look of the ensemble.

Classic Rebel

I came across this guy leaning against the signpost like so. The mixture of his style and positioning was too great to pass up.
He sports a classic black leather motorcycle jacket, and pairs it with a pair of black skinny jeans. These two items alone are staples in any rebel’s wardrobe, but he adds a little extra to them. Underneath the motorcycle jacket he has a bleached jean jacket. The white color creates a nice layer of contrast between the motorcycle jacket and black graphic tee. The black skinny jeans are dressed with a cuff, revealing a pair of olive socks and brown wingtip shoes. A classic look with a touch of personal style.

Bohemian Chic

This young lady has a great bohemian style. The skinny jeans with the large stitching on the seems are crisp, and the engineer boots they are tucked into are adorned with gold, silver, and bronze studs. The light brown shirt she is wearing has a contrasting yellow waistband, and matches the leather jacket she has on. The black shawl collar cardigan helps to break up the transition from shirt to jacket, while the thick yarn gives the knit a strong texture. The gold angel wing pendant has a definite peaceful feeling about it, and plays well with the flowing blonde hair, propped up by the dark brown head scarf.

It’s Spring, Open Up Those Knits

The simple monochromatic color scheme is an understatement for this outfit. The black leggings fit well into the black slouch boots she is wearing. The simple white, scoop neck tank gives a solid background for the silver owl pendant. The open knit long sleeve, long cardigan is a great piece to pull the tank and leggings together. The open knit is a great way to cover up while remaining cool and comfortable in the Spring heat.

I Shawl Cover You

The shawl has lost some of its popularity recently, but this woman has brought them back into her wardrobe. The fringed powder blue scarf helps to keep her warm while walking up Broadway on a cold and rainy day. The black leggings, boots, and jacket create a contrasting background for the shawl and the black and white striped skirt which shows underneath it. Her blonde side part haircut and bright red lipstick are a great addition to the look.

Two Plaid Lad

This backpack toting young man has a very relaxed style about him. His chinos are rolled a couple times, showing his Nike running shoes. But in his choice of tops is where this outfit gets interesting. He has on an untucked plaid button down shirt, below a plaid flannel shirt. The two have similar patterns, but different color schemes. It is interesting how they do not clash, rather the button down creates a nice accent for the flannel.

A Great Layered Look

This Yankees fan has a great look, while showing off her team pride. She creates a great layered look with a long, tight pink t-shirt and a waist cut jean jacket on top. Underneath the shirt are a pair of dark jeggings with the seem in the front creating a nice detail. Her pink plaid galoshes match the t-shirt, and keep her feet dry in the unpredictable spring rains.
