The Learned Cowboy Of Bryant Park

An urban cowboy catches up on his reading, while taking lunch in Bryant Park.

He added a thick, contrasting cuff to the bottom of his jeans, adding a nice detail, and exposing his rugged cowboy boots.

The different colors of denim create a distinct separation between the pants and jacket, making the outfit more independent and appealing.

The white button down, gives a crisp background for the tie to stand out from. Notice that the tie has blue in its design, helping to marry it to the rest of the ensemble.

An Accented Hound

Houndstooth is one of the most recognizable textile patterns today. The duotone pattern is famous for its simplistic color scheme, but it can also be its downfall. A red belt works great to add a touch of color to a houndstooth dress. A belt places the color in the middle of the outfit, creating a balanced yet noticeable statement.

When an accent color has already been added, a neutral color goes very well with houndstooth. This woman chose to match her open toed wedges with her handbag, both in tan leather. Very nice!

Changing The Way We Think About Shorts Forever

Shorts have a reputation for being leisurely and informal. This gentleman shows us that you can, indeed, dress up a pair of shorts, while remaining cool and comfortable. His purple Bermuda length shorts are crisp and neat, just like the light blue, short sleeve button down that is tucked into them. A purple belt, with a yellow stripe adds a small, yet noticeable accent. The outfit is finished with an elegant, yet airy, pair of leather sandals. Now who says you can't be refined in a pair of shorts?

Add a slick side part and a pair of aviators and you will breeze through the summer heat.

Ready For The High Seas

With temperatures beginning to heat up, boating season is just around the corner. A long sleeve, boat neck dress is the perfect item for any nautical wardrobe. Pair it with a skinny belt and flip flops to keep the Summer style flowing.

Strut To Your Own Beat, Part 2

Pink is a true spring color. It does wonders lightening up a grey plaid suit.

Tulip Blooms In NYC

I love this dress. Its simple, yet elegant tulip design is perfect for spring. The red flowers really pop against the white background. Pairing with a neutral cardigan helps to bright red accent under control.

The Legend of Billie Jean – “Fair is Fair!”

High temperatures can drive people to do crazy things to stay cool and comfortable. A pair of heeled, toe loop sandals are a great way to get cool and comfortable, while remaining classy.

A white, linen button down does not have to look ordinary. By knotting the bottom and rolling up the sleeves, this woman has created a simple and sexy look.

As the temperature heats up, remember to show a little skin. A halter or tank under the button down keeps you from being too exposed.

She’s A Star

A leather motorcycle vest with studded epaulets and collar is a stylish and intimidating item. Wear it over a loose, waist-length tee for added style and breathability. Also, notice how her nail polish matches the turquoise bracelet on her right wrist.

Camouflage short shorts and a pair of slouch boots are an ideal combination for showing off your tan legs in the Spring.

Sometimes it's best not to slouch.

Ruffle It Up!

A ruffled shirt is great to wear under a blazer. It gives a accent of color and texture between the lapels.

Taking Advantage Of The Heat Wave

Today, April 16th, was a superb day for capturing the streets. The temperature in New York City reached above 80 degrees, giving everyone the green light for summer clothes. Everyone, who had bought spring and summer clothes over the last month, has been waiting for a day like today to flaunt their best outfits, and we saw a lot of great ones.

This man looks as though he just stepped off the beach in Key West. His white linen pants and pale yellow button-down shirt are designed to take advantage of the cool breeze. The pale yellow fedora, with a white hat band, really pulls the outfit together. This was definitely planned ahead of time.
