As Temperatures Change, You Won’t Have to

Spring is a difficult time of year to dress for work. You know, even if it is cold when you leave the house, there is a good chance it will be a scorcher by lunch. A pair of stretch twill, ankle length pants are a great compromise between shorts and pants, giving you enough coverage to stay warm, and enough exposed skin to catch a breeze. The metallic gold docksiders are a nice touch, and noticeable from a distance.

This young woman's sweater is extremely versatile. The Thick yarn and cable knitting are great for staying warm, yet the loose scoop neck and open knit designs allow for you to stay cool when it warms up.

Pearls & Spikes: Beauty With An Attitude

This young woman is wearing only solid color items, but she makes them her own as she styles them accordingly. Her black leggings are loose, not tight like you would usually see. Her shirt is a simple grey scoop neck tee. But here is where it gets interesting. Her black high heel shoes are covered in 3/4 inch conical spikes. Yet, her olive drab (yes, her too) field jacket is adorned with pearls. The additions to this outfit are an undeniably unique touch.

Her style is glamorous and rebellious, reminding me of Debbie Harry. She even has the Billy Idol snarl on her face.

A More Formal Cut For A Jean Jacket

A truly stylish take on the jean jacket. This woman sports a denim blazer over a white shirt, with horizontal stripes, in the streets of SoHo.

The big red scarf was quite noticeable as she walked up the street. It helps to bring out the red highlights in her hair, and matches the inner lining of the blazer that she has exposed by rolling up her cuffs. The black ankle length pants are very flattering for her figure, and allow her intricate, high heeled sandals to be admired.

Silk & Sadness

The park is usually filled with such joy; a moment like this doesn't appear very often. I felt her sadness as I took the pictures, and when I reviewed them that, not her outfit, was the overwhelming star.

I could not help but watch as her face grew longer and longer. I wanted to get closer, to find out what exactly could be making such a beautiful young woman so sad. The brisk wind of the day probably didn't help her situation, as the silk shirt she was wearing didn't offer much protection.

I could not stay, and so I wished her the best of luck from a far, heading, again, on my own way.

Grey Skies, Black Outfit

On a cloudy day in New York City, you can't go wrong with a lot of black. This young lady covered a subdued taupe, layered dress with a slim fitting black blazer. The dress shows a hint of color, but not enough to disturb the neutrality of the outfit. She combined a pair of patent leather shoes with sheer black stockings to cover her legs, and a black Chanel bag to accompany her arm.

An Accented Hound

Houndstooth is one of the most recognizable textile patterns today. The duotone pattern is famous for its simplistic color scheme, but it can also be its downfall. A red belt works great to add a touch of color to a houndstooth dress. A belt places the color in the middle of the outfit, creating a balanced yet noticeable statement.

When an accent color has already been added, a neutral color goes very well with houndstooth. This woman chose to match her open toed wedges with her handbag, both in tan leather. Very nice!

Ready For The High Seas

With temperatures beginning to heat up, boating season is just around the corner. A long sleeve, boat neck dress is the perfect item for any nautical wardrobe. Pair it with a skinny belt and flip flops to keep the Summer style flowing.

Tulip Blooms In NYC

I love this dress. Its simple, yet elegant tulip design is perfect for spring. The red flowers really pop against the white background. Pairing with a neutral cardigan helps to bright red accent under control.

The Legend of Billie Jean – “Fair is Fair!”

High temperatures can drive people to do crazy things to stay cool and comfortable. A pair of heeled, toe loop sandals are a great way to get cool and comfortable, while remaining classy.

A white, linen button down does not have to look ordinary. By knotting the bottom and rolling up the sleeves, this woman has created a simple and sexy look.

As the temperature heats up, remember to show a little skin. A halter or tank under the button down keeps you from being too exposed.

She’s A Star

A leather motorcycle vest with studded epaulets and collar is a stylish and intimidating item. Wear it over a loose, waist-length tee for added style and breathability. Also, notice how her nail polish matches the turquoise bracelet on her right wrist.

Camouflage short shorts and a pair of slouch boots are an ideal combination for showing off your tan legs in the Spring.

Sometimes it's best not to slouch.
