Silken Chic

The silk garments of the Orient have been revered in the West for centuries. This woman wears a peach silk cheongsam style dress decorated with a wrap collar and waist. The light fabric and color of the dress make it a great pick for any formal Spring events. Her nude strap heels go well with the peach color of the dress, her angelic, unblemished, white skin and her bleach blonde hair. With these soft colors, the natural make up tones are the perfect choice. The orange flower in her hair gives a bright touch of Spring, and a warm feeling to the ensemble.

Am I Really??

“You really are the best thing I’ll never have” or so her shirt says. The lightweight white tee holds a great message, maybe the truth. It goes really well with the grey leopard print jeans that are tucked into a black pair of ankle booties. The black blazer and patent leather shoulder bag help to dress up this outfit, making it great for a shopping spree.

The Amazing Technicolor Dream Dress

This is an extremely fun outfit. The maxi dress has an authentic cut, but the horizontal stripes of many colors make it youthful and eye-catching. The red cardigan, worn over the dress, matches the red stripes in the hips and the bust, creating a unified look. The sunglasses, as well, have red arms with go with both garments. The nude flats with black contrast toes, while not lacking in style, do well to not take away from the power of the dress. The neon watch is a great accessory and goes with the overall fun look of the ensemble.

Hipster Formal

This is an interesting and contemporary take on business casual dress. This individual wears a pair of capri length slacks, with a blue and pink plaid pattern, worn above a pair of leather loafers. Tucked into the slacks is a bright orange, collarless, button down shirt, worn underneath a tan sport coat. This individual also opts for a pair of horn rimmed sunglasses and a navy trilby hat with a red and white band around it.

R.O.C.K. In The U.S.A.

This young woman has a very Rock n’ Roll style, with a bit of class. The black leggings are tucked into a brown pair of engineer boots. The black continues up top with a sleeveless button down shirt. The black shirt is left buttoned halfway allowing for the white tank top to show through. The American flag backpack is a fun accessory, that adds a little color to the outfit. The hairstyle is great, blunt bangs, extreme highlights and a high undercut on the sides create great lines.

Denim Dani

I really like this denim Bongo dress. It has a great cut to it, and works really well with her body shape. The low scoop neck is perfectly complimented by a thin gold choker. The minimal sandals are great for those warm days likely to be filling the next few months. The long sleeve, bleached denim shirt is a great addition to the dress. It adds a free spirit to the otherwise form fitting outfit as it gets caught in the passing breezes. The Gucci handbag is a nice accessory and goes well with the refined youthfulness of this ensemble.

The Formal Artist

This man looks great and carefree. He has an artsy vibe about him, especially with the long, flowing hair and beard. He wears straight leg black jeans that are tucked into the tops of his untied Converse high tops. His white linen henley goes very well with the artsy vibe, and is a great item to wear on a hot Spring or Summer day. He keeps the shirt unbuttoned, showing off his rope necklace and chest hair. To dress the outfit up he added a black blazer, which plays well with both the black jeans and white shirt.

Neutral Retro Style

While there is nothing that pops out about this outfit, it is one of, if not the best, period piece outfits I have seen. The light brown, pleated pants stay above the wedge espadrilles of a similar color, and have a very refined, yet somewhat casual appearance. The beige button up blouse is another neutral item, and goes extremely well with the pleated pants. The buttoning of the top button creates a 1960’s feel, especially when paired with the ivory, horn rimmed sunglasses.

Blue & White Just Looks Right

This is a celebrity worthy outfit. The tight blue romper has a great color and its pleated neckline looks outstanding. The sleeveless cut and short shorts make this blue number perfect for the Spring and Summer months. This young lady also accessorizes in style. All of her accessories are white including the Chanel tote, multi-strap heels and even her iPhone case. Blue and white compliment each other extremely well, and look crisp and clean together.

Three Fashionable Friends

I spotted this group of fashionable friends near Lafayette St. While I don’t know what they were talking about, their interactions seemed fun and heartfelt. They each have their own style, and it was a great treat to capture three great subjects walking side-by-side.

The guy on the right (your right) has a very casual look about him; very care free.  He wears a denim cutoff shirt, showing off his toned arms. His rust colored jeans are worn off his waist, causing them to bunch up atop the beige shoes, which remain untied.
The young lady in the center of the group has a flirty look. Her black shorts and tank have a fun look to them, which is perfect for Spring. The red blazer adds a great bold color to the outfit, and also dresses it up. A great Spring outfit for a lunch date.

The girl on the left has a very versatile outfit. This outfit can be worn to just about any type of setting, short of formal. The semi-sheer white blouse is sleeveless, allowing for comfort in the hot sun. The blouse is knotted at the waist where leaving the pleated waist of the pants visible. The wide leg is very airy and relaxed when paired with a weaved sandal. To make this outfit more formal, simply add a blazer on top.
