MOTHXR, a local New York band, wrapped up a month long tour with San Cisco July 2nd at the Bowery Ballroom. The band has been traveling around the country and were definitely happy to be home and see their New York City fan base. After finishing the set, with their popular hit “Easy,” front man Penn Badgley met fans downstairs to sign autographs and take pictures. Here are a few pictures from the great performance:
Diane Von Furstenberg has taken the colorblocking trend of the past seasons and incorporated it into her iconic line of dresses. The Aina dress is perfect for the fashion forward business woman. Its solid black body ends mid-thigh, long enough to be professional, short enough to be flirty. The grey stripe across the bust line is a buffer between the strong black and bold fuchsia shoulders and long sleeves. This young woman pairs this dress with a Louis Vuitton Bowler bag. Adding gold jewelry including a nameplate necklace and gold watch, as well as platform shoes, helps turn this bruiser into a style icon. The haircut tops off the look, walking the fine line between street punk and high fashion.
This young woman sports a stylish and youthful look. Her navy blue dress scattered with small white polka dots, has a flowing tiered skirt. The bodice is covered by a short sleeve denim top knotted at the waist. her polka dotted umbrella works really well with her dress, and the barbie bag and bow adorned headband keeps with the fun and youthful feeling of the outfit.
Why not add a neon pop to your outfit? This young lady shows you how. She wears a sleeveless neon blouse, buttoned to the top and left untucked. Below she wears a pair of short, black leather shorts, which compliment the bright neon coloring of the blouse. Her wedge sandals are airy and neutral, while giving her a few extra inches. The black shorts and bag help to frame the neon blouse, giving it a stronger, more controlled pop.

This young man has a carefree aura oozing out of him. From head to toe he is truly an individual. He sports a worn denim button up with the sleeves rolled up, atop a low hanging scoop neck tee. The cropped, patchwork pants have a wandering seam and are filled with both color and texture. On his feet is a pair of intricately woven loafers that somehow fit in with the rest of the eclectic ensemble. The gold nose ring goes perfectly with his gold necklace, watch and bracelets, while still playing off his plethora of tattoos. The undercut hairstyle, with its dreaded top finishes off the look, and reveals an otherwise hidden tattoo.
The crop top is a hot item right now; its minimalistic construction is easy to wear in the Summer heat. This young lady ports a grey, cropped tank with a low scoop neck. She pairs it with another easy item, a white linen, maxi skirt. Her strap sandals help to bring the outfit together, tying in the white of the skirt and the nude leather of her Chanel purse.
This young woman sits aside the Union Square fountain enjoying an Italian ice and the Summer sun. Her green sundress definitely attracts the eye, with its bold color and zig zag pattern. She has paired the dress with a white, zebra print tote, adding even more pattern to the outfit. Her strawberry blonde locks glisten in the sun, while the circular sunglasses protect her eyes.
While almost completely void of color, this outfit stands out on the streets of New York. This young lady wears a black, button down blouse, unbuttoned to the bust with the sleeves rolled up. The blouse is tucked into a loose pair of khaki shorts, with bow tied cuffs. Coming from underneath her shorts and resting in her black ballet flats are a pair of incredible stockings. The black, holy stockings, with their crocheted designs are definitely breathable and unique. To wrap up the outfit, she wears a slim black belt embellished by a bow in the front.
