White Hot Summer

Now that summer is officially over, its time to reflect on the season’s hottest trends. White is a hard color to keep clean, especially in the summer heat, but when you can it looks angelic. The light color is perfect for staying cool in the hot sun and creates a pristine looking outfit. Here are some of the best all-white ensembles from the past few months.

This long blazer is a great item, especially when paired with a pair of white shorts. It has a professional, yet fashionable look.

This belted, button front dress is fun and airy. The multicolored platforms on her white sandals are a great accent to the all white ensemble.

This loose fitting blouse is easy to wear, and looks good especially when paired with the white denim cut off shorts.

The white Midi Dress with a tiered skirt is perfect for Summer. The white sunhat carries the white to the top and the blue, floral shawl tied around her shoulders adds a great pop of color.

A Pop For A Professional

This young professional walks through Fifth Avenue with a purpose. The neutral colors that populate this outfit help her to blend in to the Midtown workplace, but its subtleties help set her apart. The nude tank is embellished by a pleated neckline. The navy skirt goes perfectly with the top, while its neon hem at the bottom pops with a fashionable accent. The black Tory Burch bag is a very popular accessory, while her nude ballet flats keep her comfortable and keep with the neutral color scheme.

Colorblocking With DVF

Diane Von Furstenberg has taken the colorblocking trend of the past seasons and incorporated it into her iconic line of dresses. The Aina dress is perfect for the fashion forward business woman. Its solid black body ends mid-thigh, long enough to be professional, short enough to be flirty. The grey stripe across the bust line is a buffer between the strong black and bold fuchsia shoulders and long sleeves. This young woman pairs this dress with a Louis Vuitton Bowler bag. The white color helps the bag stand out from the dress without taking away from the pop of the fuchsia.

Backed Up Against A Brick Wall

This young lady has a very tough, yet feminine exterior. Her baggy jeans, adorned with holes and worn denim are rolled up just above the calf. Bloused over their waistband is a black cutoff tee, with a tribal print on the front. These two pieces alone would be enough to look intimidating, but she knows how to turn them into a stylish ensemble. Adding gold jewelry including a nameplate necklace and gold watch, as well as platform shoes, helps turn this bruiser into a style icon. The haircut tops off the look, walking the fine line between street punk and high fashion.

Get ‘Em While You Still Can

As the end of August quickly approaches, and the Summer heat begins to fade, you must take a page out of this young woman’s book and savor those rays while you still can. She sports a relaxed look, perfect for the emerald lawn at Bryant Park. She matches her black midi skirt perfectly with the stripes of her frayed jersey tank, as well as her strapped sandals. The large gold chain is a standout accessory framed perfectly by the neckline of her tank. The black bow in her long braided hair gives the outfit that little extra.

A True Individual

This young man has a carefree aura oozing out of him. From head to toe he is truly an individual. He sports a worn denim button up with the sleeves rolled up, atop a low hanging scoop neck tee. The cropped, patchwork pants have a wandering seam and are filled with both color and texture. On his feet is a pair of intricately woven loafers that somehow fit in with the rest of the eclectic ensemble. The gold nose ring goes perfectly with his gold necklace, watch and bracelets, while still playing off his plethora of tattoos. The undercut hairstyle, with its dreaded top finishes off the look, and reveals an otherwise hidden tattoo.

A Sunny Disposition To Brighten Up Your Day

Mondays don’t have to be a terror, but incase yours is here is a beautiful smile to brighten up your day. This sunny young lady couldn’t help but smile when she caught me taking her picture. Her white tank has an incredible amount of texture from the mesh straps and trim to the chandelier design throughout the bodice. She chose a pair of black leggings to accompany this white beauty, and they do the job perfectly. Her patriotic bandana keeps her flowing blonde locks out of her eyes, while adding a quaint pop of color to the ensemble.

Rope & Anchor

I love the detail on this young lady’s halter top. The ying yang like design of the black and white with the contrasting anchor is great, but the rope tie sting is the kicker. Her beige skirt is a good neutral color and her platform sneakers are straight out of Spice World. The teal sunglasses are a unique accessory that adds a nice pop of color.

Suspended In Time

This fine gentleman has a learned look. His dress and his demeanor remind me of a southern blues musician, maybe with a little more color. He wears a green polo shirt tucked into the waist of his pleated, khaki slacks. The loose fitting pants are held up by a set of pink suspenders, giving his top a little more color. His dark brown loafers look like they have walked many a street in their time. To top off the look he has a straw fedora on his head, and a large hardcover book in his hand.
