Romeo & Juliet: SoHo Street Style

The star-crossed couple takes their unique variety of romance to the streets of SoHo. Romeo is dressed in a pair of power jeans lying atop brown dress shoes. A loose fitting navy blazer covers his loose grey t-shirt. His love sits upon a ledge wearing a pair of python print leggings underneath a pink tulle dress. They discuss their ill-fated relationship over a bottle of San Pellegrino and Sushi.

Monday Tip: Pajama Chic

Oh shucks! It’s another Monday; the most dreaded day of the week. Coming off that lazy weekend is truly a bummer, but it’s time to be a productive member of society again. While your energy is still on the beach or by the pool, you can take a tip from this young woman. Her simple outfit is relaxed and easy, but still looks great. The combination of the sheer, wide leg pants and open-toe booties says “I want to be relaxed, without sacrificing my style.” She has rolled the waist of the pants to reveal the black undershorts, and tied the back of her white tank to create a custom fit. The wayfarer sunglasses are a perfect accessory to guard those sleepy, Monday eyes, until you are fully alert.

A Little Splish & A Big Splash

In New York City there are only so many places you can go to stay cool on these hot Summer days. The Washington Square fountain is one of those places, and today it was packed. This young woman is having a blast, dipping her feet in the refreshing water, while remaining cautious about the trim of her dress. The tank maxi dress is adorned with an abstract design that matches her expression perfectly. The side braided ponytail and neon trimmed wayfarers do a fantastic job of accentuating her youthful and joyous disposition.

Not Your Grandmother’s Fourth Of July Outfits

The Fourth of July is a special day that commemorates our independence from the British Empire.  It has become a day for family gatherings, BBQ’s, parties, and, of course, sporting patriotic outfits.  American pride was alive today on the streets of New York City as we remembered what our forefathers did nearly 250 years ago.

The captain not only showed his American pride, but his Gay Pride as well.

There is nothing more american than cutoff jean shorts, especially when paired with a red white and blue tie dye tank.

The American Flag makes a very nice shirt, just ask Abby Hoffman or this skater girl.

American Flag leggings are fun, just don’t expect them to wave in the breeze.

Formal Athletic Wear

Today is the official start of Summer. Meteorologists have pegged this Summer Solstice as the hottest day of the year so far. While dressing to combat this scorcher you should show as much skin as is appropriate for your environment. As this man shows, you do not need to stick to the norm, and can invent an outfit that is both weather appropriate and stylish. His short, dress shorts and vest are not something you see paired with athletic socks and shoes, but allow him to remain comfortable in this extreme heat.

Springtime Lunch Break

It’s a great idea to take advantage of these bright, hot Spring days. A lunch break is the perfect time to catch some rays during the busy weekdays. This young lady takes her break on the Union Square steps, enjoying the sun and some Whole Foods. She wears a blue sundress with a red floral print, which allows for maximum sun exposure. Her red military boots match the flowers on the dress, and give the outfit a unique style, not normally seen.
