The Most Holy Of Stockings

While almost completely void of color, this outfit stands out on the streets of New York. This young lady wears a black, button down blouse, unbuttoned to the bust with the sleeves rolled up. The blouse is tucked into a loose pair of khaki shorts, with bow tied cuffs. Coming from underneath her shorts and resting in her black ballet flats are a pair of incredible stockings. The black, holy stockings, with their crocheted designs are definitely breathable and unique. To wrap up the outfit, she wears a slim black belt embellished by a bow in the front.

Suspended In Time

This fine gentleman has a learned look. His dress and his demeanor remind me of a southern blues musician, maybe with a little more color. He wears a green polo shirt tucked into the waist of his pleated, khaki slacks. The loose fitting pants are held up by a set of pink suspenders, giving his top a little more color. His dark brown loafers look like they have walked many a street in their time. To top off the look he has a straw fedora on his head, and a large hardcover book in his hand.

The Summer Sky Reflected In A Dress

I really love the simplicity of this outfit; a spaghetti string dress, with an open scoop neckline. The light blue reminds me of the summer sky, especially with the white marbling in the dye. The black open toe and heel lace ups are a perfect compliment to this fun dress, walking that fine line between formal and informal. The bobbed blonde haircut definitely helps to create the fun aura that she has, while the Louis Vuitton Tote keeps her looking glamorous.

TREND ALERT: A Blazer Of A Summer

The solid color blazer, once a masculine item, is being reclaimed by the women of the 21st Century, and they are making it look a whole lot better than men ever could. Pairing it with the likes of colorful dresses and raged boyfriend jeans, women truly know how to compliment this masculine staple.

Chelsea’s Material Girl

This look reminds me of a young Madonna. She certainly has style, yet there is a sense of rebellion throughout the outfit. The white, off the shoulder top droops to the left to reveal a grayscale, floral tank below it. Underneath her side zip denim skirt she is wearing a pair of black leggings whose scalloped lace trim ends just above the calf. On her feet are a pair of metallic sandals, adorned with black stones that match her pedicure. The black, crocheted trilby hat is a very nice piece and helps to give her a unique and stylish look.

Two Awesome Accessories

This young woman has incredible taste, wearing two of my favorite accessories in one outfit. The Céline tote matches the black, loose fitting tee and is an amazing item, with its awkwardly appealing facial expression. The olive drab skinny jeans show off her toned legs and are tucked into the best shoes of the season by Isabel Marant. The white and drab hidden wedge sneakers are so casual; yet retain a hidden feminine quality.

Ode To My Fellow Photogs

This young woman was walking around Union Square looking for subjects to shoot. Her short sleeve dress is colored with a beautiful, abstract floral pattern and tied at the waist with a skinny, tan leather belt. She uses a 35 mm film camera, which is something not usually seen in this digital age.

These two fedora-wearing gentlemen discuss their poses after a quick set of photographs. The photographer, on the right, sports a fitted denim button down and seersucker pants over light brown loafers. His subject is Mr. Mort of MisterMort.com. Mr. Mort’s combination of the yellow button down underneath the royal blue and white sport coat is very nice and casual, especially when the seersucker shorts are added into the mix. He too sports a pair of loafers, but of a darker color.

A Smooth Operator

This gentleman has a polished yet relaxed look. His white dress shirt is crisp, but left unbuttoned to allow for air circulation. The grey sport coat fits very well and is an easy color to wear in the Summer. The dark power jeans are casual, but look very good when paired with the tucked in shirt and sport coat. The gelled hair and dark aviator sunglasses, along with the stubble, give him an air of confidence that is easy to pick up on.

Subtly Patriotic

This is a simple outfit that is perfect for the yacht club. There is something inherently nautical about horizontal stripes this time of year. This polished young woman wears a lovely stretch dress, with stripes of red and navy. Around her shoulders is a white sweater, just adding to the preppy look of the ensemble. I’m not sure whether the Olympic spirit has gone to her subconscious or if she actually planned the patriotic color scheme, but it does look good.

This young woman has a very fun and sassy look. Her short black skirt is flirty and youthful, especially when paired with the black, high top sneakers adorned with a studded strap across the laces. The black bag hanging from her shoulder matches the shoes, with its studded leather ruffles. The lace tank, with its rough trim adds an amazing amount of color to the outfit, and she pairs it flawlessly with the hot pink lipstick and nail polish. Definitely a chic play on the EDM style.
