A Sunny Disposition To Brighten Up Your Day

Mondays don’t have to be a terror, but incase yours is here is a beautiful smile to brighten up your day. This sunny young lady couldn’t help but smile when she caught me taking her picture. Her white tank has an incredible amount of texture from the mesh straps and trim to the chandelier design throughout the bodice. She chose a pair of black leggings to accompany this white beauty, and they do the job perfectly. Her patriotic bandana keeps her flowing blonde locks out of her eyes, while adding a quaint pop of color to the ensemble.

Rope & Anchor

I love the detail on this young lady’s halter top. The ying yang like design of the black and white with the contrasting anchor is great, but the rope tie sting is the kicker. Her beige skirt is a good neutral color and her platform sneakers are straight out of Spice World. The teal sunglasses are a unique accessory that adds a nice pop of color.

Grand Opening: Ted Baker’s Fifth Avenue Flagship

Last week Ted Baker opened the doors to its new flagship store on New York’s Fifth Avenue.  Referred to as “Ted’s Grand House” this beautifully constructed, three story space showcases the fine clothing and accessories of the British company.

As part of the celebration, the store was stocked outside and in with butlers and maids, carrying on in old-fashioned, London attire.  Here are a few pictures from the theatrical day:

Crop Top & Cobble Stones

The crop top is a hot item right now; its minimalistic construction is easy to wear in the Summer heat. This young lady ports a grey, cropped tank with a low scoop neck. She pairs it with another easy item, a white linen, maxi skirt. Her strap sandals help to bring the outfit together, tying in the white of the skirt and the nude leather of her Chanel purse.

Zig & Zag

This young woman sits aside the Union Square fountain enjoying an Italian ice and the Summer sun. Her green sundress definitely attracts the eye, with its bold color and zig zag pattern. She has paired the dress with a white, zebra print tote, adding even more pattern to the outfit. Her strawberry blonde locks glisten in the sun, while the circular sunglasses protect her eyes.

The Most Holy Of Stockings

While almost completely void of color, this outfit stands out on the streets of New York. This young lady wears a black, button down blouse, unbuttoned to the bust with the sleeves rolled up. The blouse is tucked into a loose pair of khaki shorts, with bow tied cuffs. Coming from underneath her shorts and resting in her black ballet flats are a pair of incredible stockings. The black, holy stockings, with their crocheted designs are definitely breathable and unique. To wrap up the outfit, she wears a slim black belt embellished by a bow in the front.

The Summer Sky Reflected In A Dress

I really love the simplicity of this outfit; a spaghetti string dress, with an open scoop neckline. The light blue reminds me of the summer sky, especially with the white marbling in the dye. The black open toe and heel lace ups are a perfect compliment to this fun dress, walking that fine line between formal and informal. The bobbed blonde haircut definitely helps to create the fun aura that she has, while the Louis Vuitton Tote keeps her looking glamorous.

TREND ALERT: A Blazer Of A Summer

The solid color blazer, once a masculine item, is being reclaimed by the women of the 21st Century, and they are making it look a whole lot better than men ever could. Pairing it with the likes of colorful dresses and raged boyfriend jeans, women truly know how to compliment this masculine staple.

Chelsea’s Material Girl

This look reminds me of a young Madonna. She certainly has style, yet there is a sense of rebellion throughout the outfit. The white, off the shoulder top droops to the left to reveal a grayscale, floral tank below it. Underneath her side zip denim skirt she is wearing a pair of black leggings whose scalloped lace trim ends just above the calf. On her feet are a pair of metallic sandals, adorned with black stones that match her pedicure. The black, crocheted trilby hat is a very nice piece and helps to give her a unique and stylish look.

Two Awesome Accessories

This young woman has incredible taste, wearing two of my favorite accessories in one outfit. The Céline tote matches the black, loose fitting tee and is an amazing item, with its awkwardly appealing facial expression. The olive drab skinny jeans show off her toned legs and are tucked into the best shoes of the season by Isabel Marant. The white and drab hidden wedge sneakers are so casual; yet retain a hidden feminine quality.
