Fur, Feathers & Fun

I could not pass this opportunity up. I saw her across the street and immediately rushed that way. I think it was the red skinny jeans that caught my eye, but the smile was definitely the magnet that pulled me in.

The sneaker wedges are incredible. The red on them matches the pants, but the design alone is definitely urban, with a touch of class.

The combination of a long black wrap, black undershirt, and black vest creates subtle layers that can be seen contrasting with the bright red pants. The vest is an exquisite item as it is not only fur (or faux fur) but is embellished with brown and black feathers, allowing it to stand out from the all black items underneath it.
The Island Vibe Is Alive In The Big Apple

The New York City and Caribbean lifestyles could not be further apart. This man keeps it cool on a bicycle, while dealing with the rough New York traffic. His brown leather docksiders go well with the pink pastel straight leg jeans, cuffed just above them. The grey denim button down is relaxed, with its sleeve rolled, showing off its white lining. The large dark sunglasses keep the midday sun from destroying his eyes, while the long flowing hair with tight curls helps to keep that island vibe present in the Big Apple.
Black & White Stripes

This young lady has a great outfit. The tight, black and white striped dress has a great length and fit. The knee-high riding boots add a contrast to the short length of the dress. The black blazer is form fitting and its rolled cuffs, show the black and white striped lining, which plays extremely well with the dress.
Keep ‘Em Rolled Up

There's no need for a tailor these days. The go-to move instead, is to roll or cuff your clothes. This young man, waiting for a walk sign, does just that. His chinos are rolled up to just above his hiking boots (the red laces are a nice touch). the sleeves on his denim over shirt are rolled, creating a 3/4 length look. Underneath the denim he has a charcoal v-neck which shows a little of his chest tattoo.

The Old Tough Guy Look

There is something about a popped collar that gives off a cool and cocky appearance. Maybe it is its affiliation with Arthur "The Fonz" Fonzarelli and James Dean, that has created that reputation, but it still sticks to this day. This man popped his collar on his blue trench, and even though he is carrying a Toys "R" Us bag, he still looks tough (and stylish). Underneath his trench peaks a pink button down shirt. His straight leg jeans are crisp and cuffed at the bottom, leaving them to fall perfectly onto his brown leather shoes.
Red The Color Of Desire, Black The Color Of Despair
Red and black are two colors that mean completely different things. Red is associated with love and passion. Black is associated with death and darkness. Yet, when the two colors are put together in one outfit, they compliment each other phenomenally.

This young lady used black items to bolster her bright red dress. The black leggings give a strong contrast to the lower half of the dress, whereas the black motorcycle jacket helps to narrow and emphasize the top of the dress. The orange handbag is a great addition of a bright color, but does not take away from the red dress.

Here, this girl flipped the outfit around and used red as an accent. Her black boots, skirt and overcoat are fine for the rainy day it was, but to add some life to her outfit, she added red leggings. They play really well, creating a strong accent, and breaking up an all black outfit. A definite eye-catcher.
Waiting On The World To Change

I found this woman sitting on the steps of St. Thomas Church. She looked as though she was waiting for someone, with a sense of longing in her face. The mix between the emotion and the fashion statement she was making, made her the perfect subject. Her fur trimmed coat definitely added some flare to her look. Her python print handbag, cuddled in her lap, is a great statement piece for this dark colored outfit.
Great Neutral Outfit

Another great outfit on Fifth Avenue, but where do I start. I guess at the bottom with those awesome moccasin boots. The brown leather is adorned with contrasting stitching and Native American designs. They go really well with the grey leggings, which have belt loops and zipper pockets.

The tan leather jacket and undershirt are a nice neutral shade, yet stand out with their yellow tint. The faux fur scarf is a really nice piece and goes well with the grey leggings.
