Carrying a bag of light bulbs, this stylish young woman ended up in my spotlight. Her light denim button down, with its sleeves rolled and top buttons unbuttoned, is tied at the waist with a double wrapped, weaved leather belt. Underneath the untucked shirt bottom is a beautiful nude maxi skirt with a simple lace design between the panels and around the bottom trim. Her leather thong sandals match the leather of her belt, and their turquoise embellishments match the large ring on her middle finger.
This young blonde whips around the corner, briskly making her way to her destination. Her sheer tank, with a leopard print front and a satin back, is both lightweight and eye-catching. The leopard print, along with the lace trim, creates a prominent pattern that contrasts strongly with her white skinny jeans. Her flats match the top in color, and the sheer instep and the designs on the heel and toe help to balance the pattern-heavy top.
This young woman was in the midst of, what seemed like a, gripping conversation. Her mannerisms and reactions, along with her outfit made her a great subject. Her sheer black, sleeveless blouse is embellished by an ivory, tribal pattern that matches the color of her shorts. Her tiered, crochet shorts have an amazing amount of texture, and are all the rage right now. All of her accessories are in blue, from her blue suede sandals to her Dooney & Bourke handbag and her Aztec style necklace. This outfit has a lot going on in it, but everything is connected in one way or another.
I figured I’d try something different, and ended up on The High Line this week. I am lucky I did because I came across this stunning model posing for a shoot. With her hair slicked back and her makeup done, she braved the hot sun to provide the perfect pose. The lace blouse she wore is stunning, with a Renaissance look to it, especially with the bell cuffs on the sleeves. The gold weave and encrusted jewels create a lovely design that screams “high fashion!” The white, pleated trouser, into which the blouse is tucked, creates a nice a simple, refined buffer. The cuffed legs provide a little air circulation in the heat and also show off the Lacoste tennis shoes, which are perfect for the boardwalk feel of the High Line.
Jumpsuits are very trendy this Summer, and it seems the more intricate the pattern, the better.
This first woman wears a tank jumpsuit with a plunging V neckline, and a black and white splatter pattern. She wears a copper Renoir cuff belt that helps to keep the loose fabric tight around her waist. The legs of the jumpsuit sit dangling above the ankle, where the black t-strap sandals start. The copper belt adds a balanced touch of color to this black and white outfit, as do her manicure and pedicure.

The purple background is a vibrant color, and allows for the tan tiger stripes to pop. The gold necklace with turquoise inlays helps to dazzle her soft swooping neckline. Her belt, bag and flats are all of matching brown leather. This uniform, neutral, color scheme helps to keep the emphasis on her lively jumpsuit.
It is rare that I come across a single item, so show stopping as this overlay, but today I was lucky. This young woman wears a scalloped lace, maxi overlay, with three quarter sleeves and a lace ruffle around the neck. Underneath the black lace lies a simple, skintight slip keeping her covered. The leather belt with caramel colored details, gathers the fabric at the waist creating a nice ripple effect, while thinning out her waistline. Her tribal print, lace-up booties are another beautiful addition to this ensemble, standing out below the lace. The tribal-style, coral necklace is a contrasting decoration to the lace neckline that gives the outfit a little more personality.
Color is always fun, and this young woman sure has a lot of it. The neon green tank, with a multicolored Miami Beach logo, has a swooping neck and low armholes, revealing a halter bra underneath. The faded cutoff jean shorts are held in place with a studded leather belt, that goes well with the black leather, multi-strap boots. There is an interesting dynamic between the high boots and the short jean cutoffs. Her leather handbag, with its multicolored leather patchwork, sets the bar for the rest of her accessories and is complimented nicely by the set of bangles on her wrist. The chain of feathers in her ear encompasses all the colors of the tank, and stands out against her long black hair and natural colored makeup.
This young brunette is very well put together. Her sense of style is ageless, yet hip. The white top with its layered power shoulders creates a strong silhouette and the grey ascot adds a dash of elegance to the neckline. The shirt transitions, almost unnoticeably, into her extremely light grey skinny jeans. The nude kitten heel pumps are relatively easy to walk in, while still helping to shape her legs. The fringed leather messenger bag, matches the shoes perfectly, and comes to life with every step.
